HARE AND THE TORTOISE

Once upon a time a tortoise and a hare had an argument about who was faster. They decided to settle the argument with a race. They agreed on a route and started off the race.

The hare shot ahead and ran briskly for some time.

Then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise, he thought he'd sit under a tree for some time and relax before continuing the race.
He sat under the tree and soon fell asleep. The tortoise plodding on overtook him and soon finished the race, emerging as the undisputed champ.


The hare woke up and realised that he'd lost the race. The moral of the story is that slow and steady wins the race.
This is the version of the story that we've all grown up with


well as to the hare and the tortoise story the question arises why hare took rest in mid of the race ? because the race was not challenging enough and so he became complacent. He had agreed for race where he had everything to lose and nothing to gain. Even if he had won the race he would not have gained anything, However when he lost to tortoise he had lost all his reputation in one day, ”  In the race tortoise had everything to gain and nothing to lose. If the tortoise had lost, no one would have ridiculed him because he was anyway expected to lose. Tortoise became an instant hero when he won the race. ” She continued “After that Hare thanked the Tortoise and ran races with other Hares and WON. Lessons that we can learn from the story are”:

• Undertake a task based on what you stand to personally gain or lose. If the potential gain is not significant, ignore that task. Do not waste your energy.
• Pick only those tasks that challenge or stretch your abilities. Otherwise you will quickly lose interest.
• Do not rest till your task is complete for it is no use if you do not complete the tasks

BUT AFTER ALL THIS SELF ANALYSIS HARE AGAIN GET READY FOR THE RACE, LET,S SEE WHAT HAPPENED.

After the hare lost the race, heads of all the hare were down with shame and disgust.
A conference was called and the looser was snubbed in front of all.it was decided to invite the tortoise again to race.
Best runner among the hare was chosen and specially instructed by the seniors not to relax and sleep.
Getting the invitation and hearing about the coference, unrest and disturbance spread among the tortoise lines.
They too held a conference (very secret), and it was decided to accept the challenge and race with the hare and no matter how...
win it to keep the pride of the tortoise.
Now how to win the race with a non relaxy, non sleepy hare? A big question???
not that big, an old tortoise raised his neck and addressed the young.Select similar skin tortoise among thyselves.
Hide them on every two hundred meter in a bush.(applause).
The race began.hare started off with a happy note and so did the tortoise. w
hen the hare left him far behinde and reched a 200m stone he saw the tortoise moving ahead of him.
Surprised hare crossed him again whistling.every 200 m he found the tortoise moving ahead again and yet again.
thinking i never knew they run so fast and get ahead of me with even a blink of my eyes, he crossed the tortoise again and began the final 200 m run.
OHHHHH at the finish point he again saw the tortoise crossing the finish line ahead of him.......... (applause)......


Morale 1:SLOW steady still wins the race.BUT fast and consistent will always beat slow and steady
Morale 2 :in the cycle lane is better than the speedy lanes which often remain jammed and you are prone to the accidents.
Morale 3: team work makes you win always. pooling resources and working as a team will always beat individual performers;
Morale 4: work to your competencies
Morale 5: compete against the situation. Not against a rival
stop competing against a rival and instead start competing against the situation, we perform far better..

ONE MORE END  IS THERE,

when again new race is announced between tortoise and hare, tortoise trumbeled in fear as, he knows well that he won the race only because hare slept down in between race, and he is sure, that hare will not repeat his mistake again, so the most awaited said day for race has come, and this time hare didn,t go to sleep and run with his full calibre, as he want all and most important himself that he is the best, and he can do, so hare got a chance to show his strength, adnproved fast and consisitent always wins the race.

but somehow always act like a tortoise , be ready to grab opportunities,as no one knows when goodluck knocks at your door.
